Film sent to participants
Each participant will receive the selected film in high resolution to score the music for the competition. Additionally, the participants will receive 3 Audio Files of Original Sound Design to select from and use with their music. The Sound Design is created by the Winners of the Berlin International Sound Design Competition!

Each finalist will receive a diploma for their achievement to be selected in the 10 best Original Scores at the BIFSC

This is a no-sound version of the film
You will receive 3 Sound Design files to choose from and use with your submission

Registrations for the next Berlin International Film Scoring Competition will open on the 15th of October 2022
Upon registration, you will receive
1. An email confirming your registration together with the competition materials.
2. The film
2. Three (3) Audio Files with original Sound Designs
created by the Winners of the Berlin International Sound Design Competition
(You will be able to choose which of the three Sound Designs you prefer to use with your music.)

Filmaker / Producer
Primetime Emmy nominee Dr. Fredi Devas is a wildlife filmmaker who cares deeply about the natural world and the challenges it faces. Having worked on Meerkat Manor and Nick Baker’s Weird Creatures, he joined the BBC to work on Frozen Planet and then Wild Arabia. On Planet Earth II he decided to leave the wildernesses behind to produce and direct.
Lesley established UK Film Music in March 2019 following several years representing and managing prominent and award-winning composers from the UK and mainland Europe. With a career history including international marketing and the Visual Arts, Lesley is keen to bring a different approach to representation.
Emmy-winning composer Nathan Barr has received critical acclaim for his unmatched versatility, incorporating eclectic instruments from musical cultures across the world.
His recent projects include The House with a Clock in its Walls, Amazon Studios’/Legendary Television’s Carnival Row, starring Orlando Bloom and Cara Delevingne, Hulu's The Great, and the Netflix series Hollywood,
Mihali Palaeologou is a composer. His award-winning music has been performed in Europe, USA, Japan, China and Australia. He is a passionate Film Music educator and conductor. Mihali is the Artistic Director of the Berlin International Film Scoring Competition and Founder of the
Fusion Film Scoring Workshops
Constantin is a 3D Artist and Supervisor working in the advertisement industry. Past clients include AUDI, Canyon, Daimler or TOMRA. He also teaches at Macromedia University in Cologne, where he graduated himself. Additionally, he works on personal projects such as the "Hired Steel" series.
