In this Privacy Policy, we shall inform you about the collection, use, and processing of personal data when using our website

Personal Data

a) When you register to participate in the BIFSC competition we collect personal data from you. 

Personal Data is any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual. The Personal Data that you provide directly to us through our Sites will be apparent from the context in which you provide the data. In particular:

 

  • When you register to participate in a BIFSC competition, we collect your full name, email address, telephone number, short Biography.

  • When you fill in our online form to contact us, we collect your full name and email address.

 

We collect this personal data to process your application and contact you with future announcements regarding the BIFSC Competitions, BIFS EOOD arts and culture announcements, workshop announcements, and other activities. 

 

When you respond to BIFSC emails we collect your email address, name, and any other information you choose to include in the body of your email or responses.

 

If you Register to participate in BIFSC, when you make payments or conduct transactions through the BIFSC website, we will receive your transaction information. We may receive this information directly from you, or the BIFSC or third parties. The information that we collect will include payment method information, purchase amount, date of purchase, and payment method. Different payment methods may require the collection of different categories of information. 

 

When we conduct fraud monitoring, prevention, and detection activities, we may also receive Personal Data about you from our business partners, financial service providers, identity verification services, and publicly available sources (e.g., name, address, phone number, country), as necessary to confirm your identity and prevent fraud.

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. ("Google"). That service uses cookies to help us analyze how users browse BIFSC. The information generated by Google Analytics about your use of the website will be anonymized, then transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. On behalf of the website provider, Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website provider. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. By using this website, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google in the manner and for the purposes set out above.

This website also collects server logs for debugging purposes. The logs are anonymized and do not contain any personal information.

 

b)  Information that we collect automatically on our Sites.

Our Sites use cookies and other technologies to function effectively. These technologies record information about your use of our Sites, including:

  • Browser and device data, such as IP address, device type, operating system and Internet browser type, screen resolution, operating system name and version, device manufacturer and model, language, plug-ins, add-ons, and the language version of the Sites you are visiting;

  • Usage data, such as time spent on the Sites, pages visited, links clicked, language preferences, and the pages that led or referred you to our Sites.

Why do we collect such information.

We collect such Non-personal and Personal Information for the following purposes:

  1. To provide and operate the Services;

  2. To provide our Users with ongoing customer assistance and technical support;

  3. To be able to contact our Visitors and Users with general or personalized service-related notices and promotional messages;

  4. To create aggregated statistical data and other aggregated and/or inferred Non-personal Information, which we or our business partners may use to provide and improve our respective services;

How your data are stored, used, shared and disclosed

Our company is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with an online platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases, and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall. 

All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by our company adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers

How we will communicate with you. 

We may contact you to notify you regarding your account, to troubleshoot problems with your account, to resolve a dispute, to collect fees or monies owed, to poll your opinions through surveys or questionnaires, to send updates about our company, or as otherwise necessary to contact you to enforce our User Agreement, applicable national laws, and any agreement we may have with you. For these purposes, we may contact you via email, telephone, text messages, and postal mail.
