INTRODUCTION TO ANGEL STRINGS
Music composition and production is constantly evolving, and the tools used to create music need to evolve along with this. The concept for this library involved capturing colours from a string orchestra which have not yet been recorded for any sample library, and place them at your fingertips, ready to compose and perform with.
Angel Strings Vol.1 Includes textural elements, morphing into/out from atonality, risers/divebombs ideal for building tension (for example in trailer music), different styles of spiccato/staccato, marcato to soft attacks with sustains, fast tempo-locked tremolo for powerful driving string hooks and more...
The techniques and articulations available in Angel Strings Vol.1 were cleverly recorded with the entire string orchestra in the same room all at once, in a way that seamlessly blends from the bottom of the range (double basses) to the highest violin notes. You can play the entire orchestra with each articulation across a single keyboard with a single NKI, making this library perfect for anything from merely sketching your ideas out on a full keyboard range - to easily executing unique parts for your final compositions.
PercX
All stages of creating PercX were thoroughly musical. We left behind the traditional tiresome method of recording samples. Every single hit in PercX was played as part of a piece of music, and contains real musical intent.
All instruments in are grouped into "kits". You can play instruments as standard multi-sampled instruments; you may choose to combine, with some in sample mode and some as loops; or you may choose to compose your entire arrangement within PercX. The beauty is that there are many ways to work with it, and they are all creativity-focused.
Every single "hit" in PercX is an entirely independent, complete sample from attack to tail. Consequently, even in loop mode, PercX neither needs nor uses any time-stretching compensation to perfectly lock to your tempos.

In 2001, composers Maarten Spruijt, Vincent Beijer and Marco Deegenaars teamed up to found ProjectSAM. Not fully satisfied with the orchestral samples available at the time, they set out to record their own, focusing on three main things:

The human brain is sensitive to the differences between an organic recording vs. a quantized sequenced track. This is a common problem with sequenced acoustic music. Many perfect commercial sample libraries can often sound midi-like, due to their perfect performance.

An original Schimmel Braunschweig upright piano was painstakingly recorded to create this beautiful instrument. As with all Imperfect Samples instruments, the emphasis has been placed on achieving a hyper-real and convincing sampled instrument, with performance sounds.
Sampled in multiple velocity layers, with release samples, and true staccato, the Schimmel Braunschweig Upright Piano was recorded at 24 bits, totalling over 5GB of data (Pro version contains 15GB). This sampled instrument's raw and distinctive sound is unlike any other piano sample library currently available.

For example, C major and F minor were recorded separately, as well as C major changing into F minor and vice versa. The result is extremely realistic, musical and evocative.
